Our SXSW Hall of Fame

UNWELL

We were unwell when this brand and our gals at FOSTER reached out to help with the flowers (and tumbleweeds) for this ranchy, western themed multi-day event. UNWELL is the community which produces several podcasts, such as “Call Her Daddy” by Alex Cooper, “Hot Mess” by Alix Earle, and “Boyfriend Material” by Harry Jowsey, all of whom helped host these events.

Their SXSW lineup started with a huge party on Saturday night at “Big Al’s Bar”, featuring drinks from Saint James Tea, a photo booth, tattoos, skeeball, and of course, a million photo ops. On Sunday they hosted a honky tonk, a classic nod to the city of Austin, which had everyone two-stepping all night. Monday they closed with a panel hosted by the cast of “Wish You All The Best’ introduced by Alex Cooper.

We had so much fun contributing to the vibe of this South by Southwest event, most notably our tumbleweed installation for the photo wall. Some gorgeous red florals were also scattered throughout the party. We think the best way to sum it up is from the Big Al’s house rules- “At Big Al’s there are two things we don’t chase around here… liquor and cowboys”. Our cowboy hats are off for the Unwell House event!

Daisy Jones & The Six

A favorite SXSW project of ours had to be this absolutely iconic retro 70’s themed installation. We had so much fun designing this with Free People and Amazon Prime Video for the premiere of Daisy Jones & The Six. Which, if you haven’t had a chance to watch yet, you’re missing out. Our photographer friend Heather Curiel nailed this gallery at the beautiful Hotel San José.

Basically, this installation proves that daisies and baby’s breath can still be fabulous. That, paired with these gorgeous peach roses was *chef’s kiss*. And I have to say we crushed the wallpaper job to bring in that wood paneling vibe. Hire us for all your carpentry, wallpaper, and set design needs…we’ll bring the vinyl too!

Amazon Prime x Soho House

Our last highlight has to go to this gorgeous SXSW event we did at Soho House for Amazon Prime Video. Hosted in order to promote their new TV show , Swarm (starring Donald Glover), this event had everything you could want. From signature cocktails to swanky furniture, it all felt so effortlessly cool.

The colors and textures we used for these arrangements were a dream come true. Still very hyped on these arrangements… especially these punk fritillaria (the little orange flowers). Moral of the story is don’t mind us if we take up ALLL the space on your coffee table. Encouraging drinks in hand (not on the table)!
